Will Taking Anxiety Meds Prohibit Me From Donating?

Can I be an egg donor if I am taking Sertraline 25mg? I started on October of 2011 because I had a lot of anxiety and stress.
Sertraline is a less obvious word for Zoloft. And the word Zoloft would have me walking away in a second–no matter the dosage. It’s not the taking of Sertraline that would concern me–in terms of interaction with hormones or any other meds you’d be given–it’s the anxiety and stress part that is the red flag. When prospective parents are looking at profiles for possible egg donors, even the slightest caveat can eliminate your chances. Propensity for stress, anxiety, depression…these things are enough to make a recipient couple question whether it runs in your family, and as such, whatever child you could provide them. The parents are likely to move on to another donor who has no signs of these things, let alone takes medication to control the symptoms. I have no idea if this will affect your chances in so much that you may not be accepted as a donor, but as far as any recipient parents are concerned, I do think it would absolutely be an issue.
