How Long Until I Can Have Sex Post-donation?

How long should you wait to have sex after a donation?? My nurse said when my body feels okay. But my boyfriend lives overseas and I haven’t seen him in three months. My procedure is a week before I see him on March 1st.
I am surprised by your nurse’s answer, to be honest. If you’re feeling better 4 days after your donation, and you have sex, you could conceive very easily–beyond very easily, like, if he sneezes on you 4 days later, you consider yourself a mommy-to-be. Just because you’ve had the procedure and the doctor has aspirated your ovaries doesn’t mean your doctor retrieved all the eggs. And any little eggie left in there is just a lil’ baby waiting to grace you with its presence. So, unless you’re into being a parent, I’d wait a solid 2 weeks. Well, me, personally, I’d wait until after I had a period, as it’s the only failsafe. I absolutely, under no circumstances would have sex with your boyfriend one week after your retrieval. No way, no how. Good luck, and make good choices!
